Islamabad: The federal authorities has shaped a Cabinet Committee on Prevention of Enforced Disappearances.
According to a notification issued by the Federal Ministry of Home Affairs, a seven-member committee will think about the causes of enforced disappearances and make suggestions for the prevention of enforced disappearances.
Minister for Law and Justice Barrister Forough Naseem, Minister for Human Rights Shirin Mazari, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Accountability and Interior Shehzad Akbar, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Inspector General of Police Islamabad apart from representatives of ISI and Intelligence Bureau. Will be a part of Barrister Forough Naseem would be the convener of the committee.
It must be famous that the Federal Cabinet in its September eight assembly had authorised the formation of a seven-member committee on enforced disappearances.
