Karachi: Several staff have been injured in an alleged cracker assault on Jamaat-e-Islami's Kashmir rally close to Gulshan-e-Iqbal Baitul Mukarram Mosque.
According to Express News, a cracker assault was carried out on Jamaat-e-Islami's Kashmir rally close to Gulshan-e-Iqbal Baitul Mukarram Mosque in Karachi. Several individuals have been injured within the blast.
According to the spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami, the Exploitation Day rally organized by Jamaat-e-Islami was passing in entrance of Baitul Mukarram Mosque Gulshan-e-Iqbal when an explosion passed off. Most of the employees of Jamaat-e-Islami have been injured within the blast. The injured are being shifted to Liaquatabad, Trauma Center, Civil Hospital and Jinnah Hospital whereas emergency has been declared within the hospitals.
According to eyewitnesses, an unidentified motorcyclist who was passing close to the rally threw one thing and ran away and an explosion passed off. After the explosion, a heavy contingent of police and Rangers arrived and the Rangers stopped the rally individuals from shifting ahead.
SSP East Sajid Amir Saduzai mentioned that 4 individuals have been injured within the incident. Security was offered to the rally. According to preliminary info, the cracker assault was carried out by motorcyclists.
