CTD thwarts conspiracy of sectarian riots in Punjab by launching main operation in opposition to worldwide terrorist group (Photo, File)
Lahore: CTD Punjab and intelligence businesses have taken motion in opposition to an organized community of worldwide terrorist group in Sargodha area.
According to CTD sources, the community is alleged to be affiliated with the banned group Sipah-e-Muhammad Pakistan, whose predominant function was to trigger sectarian riots.
CTD sources say that on January 6, intelligence businesses and the CTD had been knowledgeable that two terrorists wished to assassinate a frontrunner underneath the guise of sectarianism. The CTD group tried to cease the terrorists on Kulqman Canal Kot Momin Road. The terrorists attacked the CTD group and the CTD group arrested the terrorists.
The arrested terrorists had been recognized as Musharraf Abbas alias Bawaji and one other alias Amir Baz alias Shahid. IEDs, explosives, rifles, pistols and different weapons had been recovered from them. A complete of seven terrorists had been arrested on the identification of the arrested terrorists. According to the sources, the arrested terrorists stated that they had been planning to assassinate a number of non secular leaders.
