Karachi: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Hyderabad, in a profitable operation, recovered a big amount of Indian illicit Gutka, tobacco and smuggled blisters.
Customs raided two warehouses at Mangrio Goth and Kundu Khan Goth in Umerkot District on a tip-off and recovered a big amount of smuggled Indian Gutka tobacco and marijuana.
According to customs sources, 10 tonnes of Indian Gutka, 1,500 tonnes of tobacco and 56.2 tonnes of challah had been recovered in the course of the operation. The worth of those smuggled items is Rs. 16 crore. Authorities registered a case towards the unidentified fugitives and confiscated the smuggled items.
