Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has mentioned that full cooperation ought to be prolonged to the civil administration to cope with the locust menace.
According to particulars launched by the Pakistan Army Public Relations Department, the Chief of Army Staff visited the National Locust Control Center (NLCC) on Thursday. On this event, the NLCC Chief was briefed by the Coordinator Lieutenant General Moazzam Ijaz on the main points of the measures taken to regulate the locust assaults.

The Army Chief recommended the NLCC for its concerted efforts within the National Action Plan to regulate the locusts and directed the Civil Administration to increase all potential cooperation on this regard.
He mentioned that locust management operations are of utmost significance for meals safety and prevention of hostile environmental results. The authorities has already declared a nationwide emergency on this regard.
