Islamabad: Pakistan protested the ceasefire violations by India on the Line of Control by summoning the Indian Chief of Staff to the Foreign Office.
Indian Chief of Staff Gorao Ahluwalia was summoned to the Foreign Office on 29 and 30 June for violating the ceasefire by the Indian occupying forces on the Line of Control, killing an harmless civilian and injuring 5 folks on account of unprovoked firing. There was a powerful protest from Pakistan.

According to a Foreign Office spokesman, a letter of protest was despatched to Indian Chief of Staff Gurav Ahluwalia stating that firing on harmless Indian residents is a violation of bilateral agreements and worldwide regulation. India abides by the 2003 ceasefire settlement. And examine violations, permit UN observers to function in accordance with Security Council resolutions.
