According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), the 62nd anniversary of the martyrdom of Major Muhammad Tufail was celebrated at this time. In this regard, a ceremony was held within the hometown of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, Vehari A wreath was laid on the tomb of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and a guard of honor was introduced by a contingent of the Pakistan Army.
Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed was born in Hoshiarpur, Punjab in August 1914. He was commissioned within the Punjab Regiment in 1943. He was within the rank of Major within the 18th Punjab Regiment. He was awarded the best navy award of Pakistan, Nishan Haider. Major Tufail Muhammad was the second grandson of Pakistan to obtain the award of Nishan Haider.
The tomb of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed is positioned at 253 EB, Delhi Multan Road, close to Burewala Tehsil, Vehari District, Punjab, and his village has been named Tufailabad after him.
